Project Update: Stourton Castle Weir Fish Bypass Channel

We’re back with some exciting news – we're almost complete! 🎉

Here’s what we’ve been up to:

- Finishing off the inlet section with the bridge and placing erosion protection.

- We now have nearly 220 metres of channel winding its way to the weir. 

- The channel is almost done, with just 20 metres to go. 

- The outlet of the channel is nearly finished, with a bit of backwater up there and even some small fry – truly amazing! 🐟 

The Environment Agency and Staffordshire Wildlife Trust have been checking in, and everyone’s really pleased with the progress! 🙌
