The latest progress on the Stourton Castle Weir Fish Bypass Channel project!

We now have a completed section, where the liner is seamlessly hidden beneath the soil, creating a natural landscape. The addition of river cobbles along the channel's base adds a touch of natural beauty and enhances its functionality.

But there's more than meets the eye! Each level has been meticulously crafted to adhere precisely to the engineer's designs. This attention to detail ensures that the channel maintains the correct capacity, bank gradient, and fall — crucial elements for replicating natural conditions.

Why does this matter? Because it allows water to flow at the optimal speed and depth, creating a habitat that supports thriving ecosystems. 🐟

We're proud of the progress we've made and the dedication of our team in bringing this vision to life.
